About 30 people showed up for the Depew walk. Surprisingly few fungi out, despite favorable conditions (wunderground.com indicates over 6” of rain in Peekskill since early August!). The woods were lush and green, the creek was high, but not a single bolete! Only one single Amanita, one Lactarius, a handful of Russulas! Where are all the fungi? Well, there were lots of Entoloma abortivum and Armillaria tabescens, anyway…
