Please join us for a pop-up walk in Forest Park, Queens this Sunday
The more typical gilled fungi are becoming scarce this time of year and will not be back in any number until late spring. Instead we'll be seeing a greater number of crusts and ascomycetes ("bumps on sticks"). Be prepared to look for the tiny, inconspicuous and otherwise overlooked.

We will joined by two special guests on this walk - Garrett Taylor and Tyler Bailey. Both are renowned collectors, identifiers, microscopists and mushroom photographers and we're thrilled to have them. You will have met them in our weekly ID sessions or on iNaturalist where they are known as fungee and phroxian.
