Please join us for a walk in Central Park this Sunday.
The period of early March to mid-April is often relatively underwhelming as far as fungal diversity is concerned, but we usually find 60+ species nonetheless. We can expect to see jelly fungi, polypores, crusts and ascomycetes.
Bring a lunch and something to drink.
If you’ve never been on a mushroom walk with us before, here’s what to expect.
Many members document their finds using the iNaturalist app – we highly recommend doing so.
Let’s be responsible park users – no entering fenced-off areas and no baskets please.
It is always advisable to check the MTA Service Advisory web page before you head out.
