Panellus stipticus, Misha Zitser, Cunningham Park, February 8, 2022
Please join us for a walk in Cunningham Park this Saturday.
The period of early March to mid-April is often relatively underwhelming as far as fungal diversity is concerned, but we usually find 60+ species nonetheless. We can expect to see jelly fungi, polypores, crusts and ascomycetes.
Temperatures are expected to be in the thirties, so make sure to dress for a long, slow winter walk.
Bring a lunch and something to drink.
If you’ve never been on a mushroom walk with us before, here’s what to expect.
Many members document their finds using the iNaturalist app – we highly recommend doing so.
Please be fully vaccinated, for your own safety and that of your fellow club members.
